How Does It Work?
We've partnered with villa owners and management companies to offer you unprecedented discounts for last-minute stays here on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. (Haven't been to St. John before? Be sure to see our About St. John page.)
Simply enter the dates you wish to visit St. John and the number of adults and children in your party. We'll search our database of properties to find you just the right match. If you're looking for something in particular (for example, you must have a hot tub, or you want to stay on the Coral Bay side of the island), you can specify those options on the search page.
Once you've found the villa that's right for you, we'll talk to you on the phone to finalize the rental and arrange for payment, then we'll get you in touch with the managers for that particular villa. They'll meet you when at the ferry dock when you arrive on-island. (They are also the folks to talk to if you have any special needs for the villa, or if your flight plans change, etc.)
What is your Relationship with the Villa Managers?
LMIV is similar to a travel agent: we have special discounts available for last-minute stays, and once we've helped you find and book the right villa, we put you in the capable hands of the management company that handles the day-to-day specifics for each villa. Unlike most booking agencies, we are long-time St. John residents also located here on the island, and we have known all of the villas and property managers we work with for many years.
Who Is Last Minute Island Vacation?
This site was started by two people, John McCann and Eric Mueller. John is a realtor with 16 years' experience (the last 12 of them here on St. John), so he is intimately familiar with both the island and the villas we offer. Eric also lives on St. John and has over 20 years' experience creating web sites. In addition to creating LMIV, we both also own our own rental villas, and we prefer to stay in private houses when we travel to other places... so we understand the business not only from the property owner/management side, but (more important) as a customer ourselves. We think that this "360 degree view" of villa rental helps us give you the best possible experience.... and of course, we love St. John and love to share it with others. It really is paradise!
